Reading Rainbow was a TV show on PBS when I was a little girl. The show changed my life because it exposed me to a variety of things... for example claymation, music, dance, animals, space, books,etc...It made me curious and eager to explore all the different subjects the series showcased. It also changed my life because it cemented my my love of reading. I remember the show with Gilda Radnar reading "The Tortoise and the Hare." one of Aesop's Fables
Also loved the books, "Is This a House for a Hermit Crab." by Megan McDonald and "Alistair in Outer Space by Marilyn Sadler.
Then many books and years later, I saw Jeeves and Wooster TV series with Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry on that same PBS station and fell head over heels in love with the characters and their stories. They made me laugh, they enriched my happiness at a time, I very much needed it. So, I wanted to know more about them so I began to read the P.G Wodehouse novels and short stories about Jeeves and Wooster. I also enjoy Blandings and Psmith. And so I fell into fandom and am still here and in other fandoms that also give me joy.

One of my favorite things about fandom is the abundance of delicious, delicious tropes and kinky fic. I love seeing many iterations of the same thing that I love, because no two are the same: different characters, universe, writers and approaches make it all interesting, and that common thread reels me in and keeps me hooked. Maybe the most interesting part of all, for me, is seeing what other people find appealing in the themes that I love, and that’s what this challenge is all about.

On Day 4, many people had difficulty posting their wish list because some of us are socialized not to ask for things or celebrate our accomplishments. Today, we're debunking all of that. We're open to any and all fanworks, so if you think it qualifies, then it does. :)
Posting a couple days late but here is my Day 9. There are three graphic fanworks. These are in different fandoms rather than my dear and comfort zone fandom of Mag 7 TV series. And I enjoyed creating graphics for other fandoms and spreading my wings creatively.

Edited to further explain and expand why I love The Magnificent Seven:
The Magnificent Seven TV Series was a tv series set in the Old West and about seven different men(A gunslinger, a bounty hunter, a ladies' man, a gambler, a preacher, a healer and a kid) coming together gradually to first defend an Indian Village and then they were hired to keep the peace and the law in a small town. They came together and became family.
Thank you todonutsweeper for reminding me. The seven had a wonderful chemistry between them all and it leapt off the screen. During the series, each of the seven had their moments to shine. These 'boys' will always hold a dear place in my heart for the joy and friendships they have given to me.
I love the Magnificent Seven TV Series and a favorite episode of mine, is "The New Law." Summary of the episode is: With the thought of protecting their interests, the railroad sends a federal marshal into town that dismisses the seven, but after they leave all hell breaks loose when Guy Royal and Stuart James team up and send men to the town to turn it into a ghost town. I really love how the seven reunite and formulate a plan to take back the town. And my favorite scene of the series is at the end of the episode when the seven walk down Main street. Summary
Thor takes a good look at Loki once he has hauled him back onto the quinjet, and realizes that there is something odd about Loki's eyes. Thor has grown and changed much in the last year, and no longer takes anything for granted. So he starts asking questions. It doesn't take long to figure out that Loki is not acting of his own free will.
Tony Stark knows what it is to be forced to do as an enemy commands. Steve Rogers has seen the atrocities manipulative madmen are willing to commit. Clint, Logan, Bruce and Natasha have been subjected to said madmen. They all know what it is to lose themselves, and to seek redemption.
Together, this band of broken heroes draws a line in the sand. They will not tolerate any tyrant, foreign or domestic. That includes Nick Fury and the WSC, who have used everyone on the team for their own aims. It includes Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross, who has hunted Bruce against all reason. It includes Odin, who treats his sons like commodities. And it includes Thanos, who has delusions of conquering Earth.
Along the way, they learn to trust each other. They learn to help each other. They become a family.

This work is the first part in a series answers that question. It reverses the timeline of the movies; Ego is dealt with in this work, and Ronan in the next. I always thought it was a little lame that Meredith's function in the movies (and comics, actually) is just to give birth to Peter and then die. I think Peter would agree; his mother was more than that. This is a fic to illuminate what might have happened if Meredith Quill had followed her son to space. Expect fierce mothering, Meredith Quill sass, bewildered Ravagers, and lullabies.

Summary
Thor takes a good look at Loki once he has hauled him back onto the quinjet, and realizes that there is something odd about Loki's eyes. Thor has grown and changed much in the last year, and no longer takes anything for granted. So he starts asking questions. It doesn't take long to figure out that Loki is not acting of his own free will.
Tony Stark knows what it is to be forced to do as an enemy commands. Steve Rogers has seen the atrocities manipulative madmen are willing to commit. Clint, Logan, Bruce and Natasha have been subjected to said madmen. They all know what it is to lose themselves, and to seek redemption.
Together, this band of broken heroes draws a line in the sand. They will not tolerate any tyrant, foreign or domestic. That includes Nick Fury and the WSC, who have used everyone on the team for their own aims. It includes Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross, who has hunted Bruce against all reason. It includes Odin, who treats his sons like commodities. And it includes Thanos, who has delusions of conquering Earth.
Along the way, they learn to trust each other. They learn to help each other. They become a family.

I always thought it was a little lame that Meredith's function in the movies (and comics, actually) is just to give birth to Peter and then die. I think Peter would agree; his mother was more than that. This is a fic to illuminate what might have happened if Meredith Quill had followed her son to space. Expect fierce mothering, Meredith Quill sass, bewildered Ravagers, and lullabies.

There are many favorite memories about fandom. I remember how welcoming the other fans were when I first joined fandom. That was the time when the group lists were popular. I've made some lovely friends there and we have gone through the groups, lj and now dreamwidth. Another favorite memory is receiving and sending Christmas cards all over the world. Yet another one is when an author loved the snippet of fic inspired by one of her snippet fic AU's. There are so many more. Fandom has given me so much. Thank you fandom and thank you Snowflake Challenge for allowing me to express that.

I am participating in Snowflake because it is a positive, fun, low-key challenge. It helps me celebrate fandom in the moment and in all its many aspects. It gets me ready creatively for the new year. I have participated in the past and it has helped me appreciate fandom so much more. Especially with real life being the way it is. Snowflake challenge deepens my appreciation of fandom. I also love meeting new people and expanding my horizons fandom-wise.
