Day 8

In your own space, share a favorite piece of original canon (a TV episode, a song, a favorite interview, a book, a scene from a movie, etc) and explain why you love it so much. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

So go! Share a piece of canon you adore, spread that love. See why others love their fandoms, whether it be someone who loves he same stuff you do, or maybe even a fandom you've always wondered about. You might find a new fandom to love too.

Edited to further explain and expand why I love The Magnificent Seven:

The Magnificent Seven TV Series was a tv series set in the Old West and about seven different men(A gunslinger, a bounty hunter, a ladies' man, a gambler, a preacher, a healer and a kid) coming together gradually to first defend an Indian Village and then they were hired to keep the peace and the law in a small town. They came together and became family.

Thank you to [personal profile] donutsweeper for reminding me. The seven had a wonderful chemistry between them all and it leapt off the screen. During the series, each of the seven had their moments to shine. These 'boys' will always hold a dear place in my heart for the joy and friendships they have given to me.

I love the Magnificent Seven TV Series and a favorite episode of mine, is "The New Law." Summary of the episode is: With the thought of protecting their interests, the railroad sends a federal marshal into town that dismisses the seven, but after they leave all hell breaks loose when Guy Royal and Stuart James team up and send men to the town to turn it into a ghost town. I really love how the seven reunite and formulate a plan to take back the town. And my favorite scene of the series is at the end of the episode when the seven walk down Main street. I made a wallpaper collage of the Seven walking down the street which you can see below the cut. The icon depicting that scene was made by the wonderful [personal profile] sallymn.

Mag7 was so good. I have no idea how they managed to cast so many people that had such chemistry with each other but all seven were so great for that, I should pull out my dvds and do a rewatch.

It's a great episode, for lots of reasons, and the scene of them rambling down the street to the saloon together always warms my heart.

Quotes & Credits

Art by James C. Christensen

A Place Of Her Own. James C. Christensen (American, born 1942).

“I wanted to create a retreat,” says Christensen, “a secluded little nook filled with art and books where a woman could really get away from it all. Here, the tension melts away as lilting strains of lute music drift across the overstuffed cushions. The objects in the room represent the things that I believe are important to a full and satisfying life…”

"There's no such thing as an ordinary human." - The Tenth Doctor

“Life is like a camera. Focus on what's important. Capture the good times. And if things don't work out, just take another shot.”
― Ziad K. Abdelnour

"Life is a great big canvas, throw all the paint you can on it." - Danny Kaye

“Don't forget - no one else sees the world the way you do, so no one else can tell the stories that you have to tell.”
― Charles de Lint, The Blue Girl

"We are all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"
-Quote by The Eleventh Doctor.
