I recently read donutsweeper's wonderful "Weft to Weave" story in the Killjoys fandom and was inspired to create a banner for the story. You will find the summary of the story as well as the banner below.

Edited to further explain and expand why I love The Magnificent Seven:

The Magnificent Seven TV Series was a tv series set in the Old West and about seven different men(A gunslinger, a bounty hunter, a ladies' man, a gambler, a preacher, a healer and a kid) coming together gradually to first defend an Indian Village and then they were hired to keep the peace and the law in a small town. They came together and became family.


Thank you to donutsweeper for reminding me. The seven had a wonderful chemistry between them all and it leapt off the screen. During the series, each of the seven had their moments to shine. These 'boys' will always hold a dear place in my heart for the joy and friendships they have given to me.

I love the Magnificent Seven TV Series and a favorite episode of mine, is "The New Law." Summary of the episode is: With the thought of protecting their interests, the railroad sends a federal marshal into town that dismisses the seven, but after they leave all hell breaks loose when Guy Royal and Stuart James team up and send men to the town to turn it into a ghost town. I really love how the seven reunite and formulate a plan to take back the town. And my favorite scene of the series is at the end of the episode when the seven walk down Main street. I made a wallpaper collage of the Seven walking down the street which you can see below the cut. The icon depicting that scene was made by the wonderful sallymn.

Summary

Thor takes a good look at Loki once he has hauled him back onto the quinjet, and realizes that there is something odd about Loki's eyes. Thor has grown and changed much in the last year, and no longer takes anything for granted. So he starts asking questions. It doesn't take long to figure out that Loki is not acting of his own free will.

Tony Stark knows what it is to be forced to do as an enemy commands. Steve Rogers has seen the atrocities manipulative madmen are willing to commit. Clint, Logan, Bruce and Natasha have been subjected to said madmen. They all know what it is to lose themselves, and to seek redemption.

Together, this band of broken heroes draws a line in the sand. They will not tolerate any tyrant, foreign or domestic. That includes Nick Fury and the WSC, who have used everyone on the team for their own aims. It includes Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross, who has hunted Bruce against all reason. It includes Odin, who treats his sons like commodities. And it includes Thanos, who has delusions of conquering Earth.

Along the way, they learn to trust each other. They learn to help each other. They become a family.

I always thought it was a little lame that Meredith's function in the movies (and comics, actually) is just to give birth to Peter and then die. I think Peter would agree; his mother was more than that. This is a fic to illuminate what might have happened if Meredith Quill had followed her son to space. I am participating in Snowflake because it is a positive, fun, low-key challenge. It helps me celebrate fandom in the moment and in all its many aspects. It gets me ready creatively for the new year. I have participated in the past and it has helped me appreciate fandom so much more. Especially with real life being the way it is. Snowflake challenge deepens my appreciation of fandom. I also love meeting new people and expanding my horizons fandom-wise.
