A Place Of Her Own. James C. Christensen (American, born 1942).
“I wanted to create a retreat,” says Christensen, “a secluded little nook filled with art and books where a woman could really get away from it all. Here, the tension melts away as lilting strains of lute music drift across the overstuffed cushions. The objects in the room represent the things that I believe are important to a full and satisfying life…”
"There's no such thing as an ordinary human." - The Tenth Doctor
“Life is like a camera. Focus on what's important. Capture the good times. And if things don't work out, just take another shot.”
― Ziad K. Abdelnour
"Life is a great big canvas, throw all the paint you can on it." - Danny Kaye
“Don't forget - no one else sees the world the way you do, so no one else can tell the stories that you have to tell.”
― Charles de Lint, The Blue Girl
"We are all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"
-Quote by The Eleventh Doctor.

Date: 2018-12-03 09:38 pm (UTC)Thank you for making the cheerful flower. The icons and images that you make seem to come when I need a pick-me-up. :)
Mental Health Update: By the way, I have been going to therapy for a few months now. I don't feel like it is doing much to help me so far, but I am trying to make things better. One of the things that I would like to improve is being more present in our online conversation. I feel like I have seemed inattentive, and I feel bad. I have not lost interest. I just have bad brain chemistry.
How is your recovery going? I hope that you feel a lot better.
I looked back over our conversation, and it reminded me that you had four WIP last summer. How are they going? I liked the snippets of the "Star Trek" fic that you shared a lot.
Personally, I've not written much more than a few drabbles lately. I always wonder if I don't write creatively because I am feeling down or if I feel down because I am not writing creatively. There's this wonderful book called If You Want to Write that suggests every person is a creative being, and that not expressing ourselves creatively can have an adverse effect on people's health.
In regard to being creative, how is your scrapbooking going? I love the image that you made for me so much! It is wonderful that you have so many talents.
I wish you the best. Please let me know if there is anything that you feel like chatting about.
By the way, I made some icons for you. I haven't made icons in months, and I am grateful to you for inspiring me to do that.
Also, the most random thing happened. Because I haven't used an image uploading service in so long, I lost forgot the password. When I tried to do the password recovery thing, I ended up finding an account I had more than 10 years ago. *shrug*
